Questions concerning the adam's apple!

I'm very insecure about the size of mine, though only on the left hand side, since it is quite prominent there. If it was symmetrical to the right hand side, it wouldn't be near as noticeable. I've looked at some diagrams online, and I can't work out whether or not the left side of the adam's apple is meant to stick out far more (relatively) than the right side. I've been thinking about having surgery to trim down the prominent part sticking out, but I'm having difficulty finding a surgeon who could perform this procedure (tracheal shave) and now after having looked at diagrams online, I'm questioning whether or not it's meant to be like this?

So I guess this is one for guys especially. If you can feel your adam's apple, does the left side stick out more than the right side?

Ive had a feel of mine, and would say it is pretty much even on both sides.
