Hi everyone,

i've been diagnosed with anxiety about 9 weeks ago, been having chest pain, so im going on a 24 hour ECG on monday. TOday i've noticed i can see my pulse in my left wrist, is this normal? i've never been able to see it before, other than in my chest. I've also noticed that i have a very slow heart beat 50 - 65 bmp.

Thanks

I'm not a doctor but yes, I'm quite sure this is normal. TOTALLY normal! Like alot of anxiety sufferers what your core issue is, is not your cardiac rhythm at all but fear of fear itself. You anticipate changes in your biorhythm as signs of health risks and panic then monitor those perceived changes which adds to the cycle of anxiety. It's possible you have some genuine problem that is being treated but to visibly see your pulse is normal, it's also stronger in the left wrist but you must conserve your energy for health and rational solutions not squander it on stress that leads to illness.
