Hi

I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder a few years ago, had CBT which really helped me to understand what was happening and rationalise my feelings.

Recently I have started to feel very anxious all again, suffering early waking, constant feelings of panic and complete fatigue.

I have a practical exam coming up in 2weeks which i know i'm really panicky about (and a course interview the day before). What is causing me panic now is whether these are healthy panics or whether i am becoming extreme again leading to a whole cycle of events.

Does anyone have any advise re. time leading up to the exam and staying calm enough for the exam itself. Its a sign language exam so need calm hands!!!

thank you
LT

Hi monochrome.

I know it is easier said than done, but try not to focus to much on it. If you don't get the job, then its not the right one for you. If you fail your exam, you will pass it next time.

Basically what I am saying is try not to put so much presure on yourself. 99.9% of the population would feel anxious about going to a job interview or doing a test, it's a natural thing.

It may be a good idea to try some breating exercises, this will help control the oxygen levels too.

But you will be fine :)

Good luck
