I started to wean myself off Fluoxetine a couple months ago. I lessened the dosage very slowly according to my doctor's recommendation. (I was on 20mg a day for 6 months, and then took one pill every other day, every other other day, etc). Soon I was down to taking only two pills in a week. So I took my last one the other week.
That will have been two weeks ago this coming Sunday. I've been alcohol-free ever since I started on Fluoxetine. My husband is having a party for me this Saturday to celebrate coming off the meds, and I know he is expecting me to have a drink or two! I want to have a drink, but I want to be sure the meds are out of my system first.
Is two weeks long enough to wait after stopping Fluoxetine to start drinking again? (Btw I don't mean heavily, I'm not a huge drinker!)
