During my first big panick attack, I recall I suddenly awoke in the middle of the night, I remember being able to see things really clearly as if I was wearing night vision goggles. A few nights after the attack I relived my steps and couldn't get past the bed without bumping into the bed-leg. On the night of the attack I managed to get onto the landing, into the computer room, down the stairs and to the back door without putting on a single light.

Anyone else experience this at night?

Yes I agree with Angie - your eyesight was better as the body prepared to run or stand and fight so you needed to see better

Its weird, but totally natural.:D Makes David Attenborough seem silly when he says humans can't see in the dark like nocturnal animals :yahoo: :)

After that attack it made me realise we have alot of stuff unexplained about our minds.

nope, but because of the panic you would have been way more alert

It must have been due to experiencing the panic in the middle of my sleep:)..its good to know that.
