:noangel: This is actually about medication but because new here dont really know where to put this thread.
The actual anti depressant that I have been taking since late 03 is venlafaxine 150 mg daily one capsule daily its not uncommon to go alot more then that 300 etc more.
Its worrying coming off it, its a very hard drug to come off and heard nightmare stories about withdrawal etc, certainly when I tried in the past its been nothing but trouble vomiting, loss of appetite, dizzy head, feeling like been knocked out by a train.
Tried elminating the capsule from 150 > 75 mg halfed it but anxiety was awful, aggression, had major mood swings, and felt jittery beyond belief like was tense very tense like was going to snap.
So that didnt work, cant go from 150 down etc 10 to 20 per cent reduction as there isnt capsules in that dose.
Theres pills, tablets but there not serotonin inhibitors ie they dont do the same as the capsule, they are not suitable.
Then theres taking the beads out gradually but havent ever done this and not sure if its going to work, and will have to see G P about it if can ever get appointment .
Whats worrying is that after 5 half years of taking it, coming off it is going to be a nightmare, in some ways glad took it, it has helped overcome obstacles but there are so many side effects to it, more anxiety, restless sleep, feeling comatozed dazed feelings of unreality, hesitation irratation.
Hopefully it wont be to hard to come off it as want to be off it by 30, one half years to go.
