I've had a sinus infection for over 2 MONTHS now, and all my doctor has done is referred me to a ENT specialist, who wasn't that great.

Now i've been put on treatment for another 2 and half months.

But convinced its not a sinus infection it's a 'brain tumor'
- and my doctor wont send me for a CT scan
although i told them the headaches are really bad.

I'm also convinced i have bone cancer, because i've sprained ankle.

ok firstly sinus infections can be chronic aswell as acute. Don't worry though, that doesnt mean theyre not treatable. My mother had a hole drilled to alleviate pressure after 2+ years of chronic sinusitis. I get occasional sinus problems (irritations only not infections, oddly) and yeah they can last a while.

secondly, why do you connect a sprained ankle with bone cancer? Is there more to the story?

I have pressure around the eyes and nose, but nothing is infected, i also have a whooshing in the head etc, can this all be down to rhinitus/sinus problems? I take beconaise. I think it affects my balance but I have heard different arguements, can anyone suggest. I have had this problem for over 2 years now for most of the time. I also have a metalic taste in the mouth, is this from belching(i have ibs) or a post nasal drip etc? I also am tired. Not sure if this is this or I am physchosomatic about it.

A neti pot would help you a great deal.

Hi jessica! =)
About 3/4 months ago i had a bag head cold leaving me with a continuous ringing in ears. I'm still waiting for my ENT appointment but trust me, i have grilled my poor GP with endless questions (brain tumour blabla). Since your GP seems certain enough to say it's just a sinus problem i wouldn't worry =). If it helps with the anxiety you could try a walk-in-center where you can get a second/third opinion - it just relaxes you a bit =).

As for the ankle -i don't see how it could be a cancer link. So i think- just relax and make sure you try to walk on it properly for a quick recovery =).
