I get this too and I think it is called restless leg syndrome.

Not found a cure - just put up with it!

thanks nicola, i did look up rls but couldnt find anything about twitching just an urge to move legs. I am constantly moving my legs so the twitches dont happen as often. Do you get twitches then?

I get them everywhere, legs, arms, trunk etc. They are usually a sign of either tiredness, stress, anxiety etc and are of no harm.... i have had them for years and yes they are very annoying and weird but not harmful, try to seriously relax... and do something else.......

I suffer with this too,it drives me mad.. Walking about helps, and cut down on the cigs if you smoke.Potassium deficiency can be a cause ,Bananas are a good source.I also find cocodamol helps prevent them if I take 2 before bed.A part from that ,there is something the Dr can perscibe but I cant remember what it is.. This will depend on your Dr and what other medication if any ,you are taking. Take care SUE

I get them in bed - drives me mad as my legs jerk uncontrollably and I am not making it happen.

I got them in hospital and it was one of the nurses that told me it was probably RLS.

I still get it now and wonder if some of the medication I am on causes it.

hi, at the height of my anxiety i had twitching all over my body. i was completely convinced it was neuro in nature. i was seen my a neurologist who specialises in ms and he listened to all my symptoms, numbness, dizziness, tingling, twitching etc and said it was all anxiety related. i still get the twitching but its not as bad, annoying but harmless and thr more you think about it the worse it gets.

hope this helps,

laura

i am a twitcher too....i know it's a horrible feeling, but its just an annoying symptom of anxiety, and at least its not a painful one. and if you think you have ms and are not going to see your son grow up, then you are completely wrong, it doesnt shorten your life..just makes it more difficult.

hi, i get twitches all the time, worse when im not occupied as i think about it more. I constantly think ive got mns and im going to end up paralysed and those thoughts bring on other anxiety symptoms like a racing heart, tingling, over breathing and feeling like im not in control. Its horrible, it stops me getting to sleep and sometimes its worse when i wake up aswell. Its making me exhausted, then i end up thinking my exhaustion is another symptom. I have looked up symptoms of mns on the internet and that made things worse because then i started imagining i had other symptoms aswell as the twitching. I must sound like a lunatic to anyone who has not experienced this. Its good to no that im not alone. This site has helped me loads. I look at it when i cant sleep etc. Thanks everyone i hope you feel betterb soon xx
