I have back pain at the moment but don't think it is anxiety related though

Yes Burt I have this problem,I have osteoarthritis in my spine and right hip.I had phsyiotherapy which helped and paid to go to an osteopath when I had a bad flare up.It can be caused by bad posture as well,it will help to stay fit by gentle exercises but can be relieved by heat and massage.I would go to your Dr and get a proffessional opinion .He may be able to give you some treatment or painkillers.Hope you get better soon Suex

hi sue
thanks for reply ihave been to doctors and paid to see a specialist also been to a chiropracter.he did tests and x-ray and wasnt concerned theres any thing serious.did a course of manipulation but with no real affect.not sure whether my anxiety is making my back constantly tense and sending the pain signals

hope to get this sorted as is grinding me down

Treat yourself to a massage and then go home and have a nice hot soak in the bath.It gets all the knots out of your muscles.( i dont mean a massage parlour ) lol Hope you feel better soon, I know how awful it is. Suex

Hi Burt,

I have been to a chiropractor and the doctors today, after having lower back ache - shoulder ache - chest ache for two weeks. (Thus causing my episode on anxiety at the moment!) They both said nothing to worry about and that the back is full of nerves which in turn cause you to ache almost everywhere, and being anxious tightens the muscles!! A good massage will really help to relax!! I have also been told not to rest, but stay active (walking, etc) I start to stop worrying when the pain killers kick in.
Bad posture is my cause after having three kids, and, now Nicola has mentioned beds, mine is broken!!
