iv just been diagnosed diabetic type 2 im waiting 2 see a specialist but am also an aloholic i used 2 drink 5 litres of cider a day but hav cut it down to 10 cans of holsten a day but for the last 3 days hav been getting heavy nose bleeds that ar taking 40 minutes 2 stop thers blood evry where i never get nosebleeds normaly shud i go to my gp could it b related to the alcohol or diabetes im confused im only 23

Are you having help with your alcoholism?

Beer and cider contains a lot of sugar and will not help your diabetes.

You really need to see the doctor about the nosebleeds they could well be cause by your consumption of alcohol.

Hiya

I think that type two diabetes can cause your blood to bethinner and so can alcohol, think that means that you can bleed more and your blod doesnt clot easy
Dont worry, let the dr know though cos they will be able to fix it

I would take Trixie's advice (ex nurse I believe :)) and Lisa's and go see a doc buddy.

Your a young man and I really hope you will get help for the drinking mate, because you have a life in front of you if you can get control back (which you can with help).
