Hi everyone

I was not going to post but I have been reading and responding all afternoon and thought this might be a good time, I went out Saturday night, first time in years I have been on a social event! tried it a few months ago and came home an hour later!

I took my beta blockers had two small little panics but coped brilliantly not only did I have a great time but I was so proud of myself for achieving so much.

I sat in a restaurant, I socialised with people I have not seen for 21 years and I had a great time! oh and I went clothes shopping !

But god did I suffer for it on Sunday night and Monday ! Do you know though, it was worth it, just to see the pictures of me smiling again was great! the symptoms are now dying down and I am planning my next trip out!

We all know how anxiety affects us, and how hard it is when we have climbed the mountain and we suffer from the aftermaths of achieving it, but this has proved to me one thing ! WE CAN DO IT ! I did not die, I did not faint and I did not freak out on the waiter! Although I did put a smile on his face wearing my skimpy top!

Dont give up the fight, I dont intend to ! not now ! I have tried to give into it, but why should ! I deserve to be better we all do!

I see this now as my little demon man! and I am determined the little sod wont beat me !

Take care for now and keep going guys we can beat this bugger !

So well done, Sue!

Of course it was flaunting that skimpy top that made me smile. You know me..lol

Looks like we went through the same process at the weekend with the consequences. But anyone who knows of Alison Krauss and Union Station would know it was worth the agro.

Take care hun,

Ray

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

Well done,

sounds like you're getting on top of it.

I only just worked out what JFDI means, originally I thought it said JEDI. [Duh!]

Thanks Guys

The going was tough and the thoughts were even scarier, and I managed to do it because of the support and help I get from in here!

The site gives me inspiration and hope, when everything else feels so bad around me. I dont presume to think I have the monopoly on panic and anxiety but I have had it a long long time and I just want it to go away just like everyone else so thank you for your words of encouragement it means so much

Take care

:D:D Sue,

I just want to say I think you did ****** brilliantly on Sat night as I told you so! I think you can do so much more than you believe and hopefully this has given you the confidence to believe in yourself more. You also enjoyed it lots which must have made it so much more worthwhile that you weren't analyising how you were doing, just getting on with it!

Well done Sue - you did it!!!! As you keep saying you will beat this bugger and you are - marvellous, good on you!

Wow, not one insult from me - must be ill! I'll think of something later LOL.

Keep it up Sue
