here i go again - tummy trouble

please can someone reassure me. for the past 3 weeks now i have had a tightening feeling in my stomach just above my belly button - which comes and goes. it is not painful just feels like everything is being stretched. does any one else get this. i have comvinced my self there is something wrong with me. i don't want to go to docs again cos i am sure they think i am mad. but i am getting myself scared and starting with every little niggle being a major health problem. please help you guys are the only people that understand. :)

Do you mean like bloating? especially after eating ?

no not really - i do get bloating though. but this other pain just comes on whenever and feels just like something stretching - could just be wind i guess, but my imagination goes into overdrivee and its all sorts then. :)

Yer I know what you mean.

Reason I asked is, I was getting pains all over, and of course I concluded it was everything from Liver disease to dodgy ticker to an alien growing inside me (overactive imagination ;)).

Turns out, I possibly have IBS, as this can manifest itself in lots of ways.

yeah i have ibs as well but this is a new symptom/pain, usually get bloating, wind etc but i am awaful when i get anything new. it drives me mad i wish i could just think right thats what it is its nothing but it doesn't work that way wtih us does it.:)
