Citalopram and tranqs?

Hello all!

Ive only just registered but been lurking about for a while.

Ive been on citalopram since last October, down to 30mg at the moment. It does ok but im still a very edgy person (Albeit improved) One of my big "freak outs" is flying. Can I ask my doctor for some tranquilisers for a flight to America or dont they mix?

Ive mentioned to my doctor that certain things still trigger massive panic in me and he always justs ups the dose of citalopram and im not keen on the idea. Also not keen on a 9 hour panic attack.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

You can take Diazepam or other Benzos with Cit .Im sure your DR wont mind giving you enough for your flights.They will help calm you down.Have a good holiday .Sue x

Hi,yes you can take Diazepam with citalopram,I am not good with flying and go to Corfu on Mon 3rd Aug.Doctor has given me some 10mg tablets especially for this.
