Hi sb80

A big welcome to the site, you will find lots of support and friends here.

I to am on citalopram for anxiety and panic attacks. I have only been taking it for 10 days but feel it is now working.

I am not to clear - did you have chest pains before starting meds or after?

If you haven't looked at the 'Medication' forum, I would suggest it, as there are lots of posts there relating to citalopram, it might help.

Take care

Elaine

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

the medication can take up to a few weeks to work and you may feel worse before you feel better, but stick with it, you will feel better soon, less anxious and better able to assess how you really feel physically.

get all the support you can, this site is great. you will get there xxxx
