Could this be due to paint?

HI, Since yesterday I have feelings in my respiratoy passages. My chest is sore and my throat feels bitty and its really difficult to cough even though I have the need to clear my throat.
I suffer with ashtma and allergies as well as chest infections. However I have only felt like this after finishing painting my house for two days solid. Could this be the fumes have irritated me and it will pass in a couple of days or could it be something more sinister? I'm Worried

ive had a weird discomfort in my throat ever since i used a spray varnish in a poorly ventilated room. i also wonder if it may be due to this.
