So I had a mole removed about 7 weeks ago. It was scrape biopsied and everything came back normal. You would think I'd be ecstatic. Well, I read everywhere on the internet that when the scab falls off it's supposed to leave a white mark and smooth skin. Mine is still the same color as the mole and has a small bump (size of a pimple) which is a little darker brown in the center. It's also a less regular shape than the actual mole was.. like it looks a little "faded" on the edges.

I am totally freaked out. :( Is this "normal"?

To make matters worse, I read that moles that are not properly removed can grow back and have a higher cancer rate. :(

most of my moles that have been removed have grown back slightly - I have not heard of the cancer link to them - i would be inclined to ignore it! I have a variety of scars and lumps and bumps where they were of all colours and varieties - it does take a good three months for them to heal properly, so i'd wait a bit before panicking!
