Has anyone bought something to split tablets with and does it work?

I am starting reducing my dose of cipralex and am trying to cut the small round 5mg tablets in half so I can take a dose of 7.5mg but it's not easy!

Many thanks

Hi,
Yes I have one which I bought for £1.89 and it's quite helpful and certainly easier than trying to cut them wth a knife!
Best wishes.

Ive got one of these but I have to say ;with such a small tablet you often get a complete half and the other half is in bits .I bite mine in half and do a better job . Sue x

Thanks for the replies. I may try both! Where did you pick up the cutter, was it a local pharmacy and was there a brand?

My efforts with a knife are hysterical, I don't know whether to chop or saw! The film coating is so hard to get through! I'm supposed to be alternating 10 and 5 but think it makes more sense to take a regular dose of 7.5.

Thanks for the replies.

Just thought I'd report back that I got one from the pharmacy in Boots called Pillmate Pillcutter. £1.99 and works a treat
