I just stumbled across this site today. I haven't had this anxiety for very long and it comes and goes but i have the feeling of worrying and that maybe i'll never feel better.. I have heart palpatations, feelings of nausea and tingling legs and a weird feeling in my foot, i also think that the things i'm seeing aren't the same as everyone else and i need constant reassurance that it is..
I'm not on any medication as i want to try and deal with it, not mask it and also i'm a bit scared of side effects and addiction.. i'd prefer not to rely on anything.. i've started counselling today.. I hope that i will get better and am sure i will, but i'm being impatient and just want it now!!!! I'm just constantly afraid of the future and my catchphrase seems to be "What if..."
Hey Neonpink,
A BIG welcome to the site!!
Take care,

Hi Neonpink
The symptoms youve described are those of anxiety...it is good that you've started counseling. Stay positive.

Hi Neopink
Welcome to the forum. The symptoms you are describing are all part of anxiety.
Have a read of the First Steps (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/default.asp?t=cms&c=firststeps) and Symptoms (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/default.asp?t=cms&c=symptoms) information.
Glad you are getting some help from a counsellor.

Hi Neonpink,
I think most of us (if not all) use the same catch phrase 'What if', I know that I certainly do.
Welcome to NMP where you will find lots of advice and support and make new friends too.
Hope you are feeling better soon

Hi,
Welcome to the site. Starting counselling is a good step forward, you will get lots of support if you post about it as you go through.

Welcome and of course we'll support you along side your counselling if you want us to but one thing to note, impatience doesn't get you anywhere with anxiety, in fact it can make you worse as you keep looking back and missing your expectations and then get more despondant.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

Hi
Welcome to the forum i have had anxiety for 4yrs now have been anxiety free since march this year (for how long who knows) my symptoms were the same as yours also i try not to go on meds for it, so i deal with it myself. Try to keep relaxed as much as possible and not think about this nasty anxiety.
Keep yourself busy if you can it will go but give it time i'm sure you will be ok you are not on your own with this so think positive.
take care
