my mum bought the new 'Nell McAndrew' work out video and i think working out would release so much stress. im starting tomorrow with my mum and sister. it only lasts 40 minute but we going to do it every Monday Wednesday and Friday. keeping fit would be great for all us Panicers. especially with Vitamins.

just a thought.

Exercise stopped my panic Rach so I agree with you about doing some workout. I swim 3 times a week and an aerobics class twice a week and it does help with the panic.

hi jade.

i know this is a really.....awkward question for me to ask, but are you in a wheel chair or do you walk? you most probably walk but i was just wondering cause of the exercising. Do you do PE at school even though you have a curved spine? sorry, i hope you didnt mind me asking.

lots of Hugs Rachel xxxxx

Thats alright, yes I walk, yes I do PE (unfortunatly, its boring). I usually take time of pe and dance coz my back can be really painful.

I hated PE at school loads... I think it teaches the wrong things its not about keeping fit or enjoying yourself (which is most important thing) it seemed be all about winning etc which I never did!

Now I do stuff that I enjoy eg swimming, cycling and walking! So stick at what ever you enjoy doing!:)

Hope your back checks out ok jade! :)

i love PE, though i dont do it cause of my fear. i really miss it and now just walking up the stairs make me worn out. that why ive got the exercise video too, to keep me fit. i dont see why you dont like, i think its really enjoyable especially netball, my fave. im going to join the school team again when it starts up this year. im hoping to start footie training too but none of my friends would do that and i dont want to be the only girl.

I know this must have been said a thousand times before, but I can't stress enough what a major help exercise provides! During and after exercise I don't think about my derealisation or panic or agoraphobia at all, it's just a really great relief and break from the cycle of anxious thoughts.

Anyone suffering of anything like this should exercise regularly; you don't realise how much it helps until you start doing it!
