Well I have just got a letter today inviting me along for the above check!!!! Is it just me or is this a total worry for us HA sufferers???

I rang the surgery and they said they have just started it and everyone with their birthday in August and over 40 will get their letters this month----crikey I said i wish my birthday was July!!!!!

She said not to worry as it is ONLY a little MOT-------blood tests for cholesterol, liver and kidney function, blood count, diabetes and thyroid(hey why would all that worry me:D ) and then Blood pressure and pulse. Then she mentioned BMI and your weight.

OMG I really dont want to go but I realise how silly it would be not too!! I think I may wait a few weeks to book it though as I have just had my smear after months of worrying about going(thankfully all was normal) so my poor brain needs to chill for a while.

I was wondering has anyone been for theirs yet?? x

I'm in the US and I've had my dr do this kind of thing on a yearly basis since I was in my late 20s.

All in all, its a good preventative thing to do.

Now the prostate exam they started giving me - that I could do without.

Rosie I know you would!!!
Apparently when i read online they are sending them out between now and 2015-------how lucky am I to be at a Drs that not only send out straight away but that are doing annual checks.
Hope you are ok----will be in touch very soon----promise:) xx

Hi Anxious
Ha:) Noooooooooo I dont worry about OH to be honest. Does that sound selfish or is that typical HA?? He doesnt worry about himself though LOL!!!
He could go for tests and then never give it another thought. I soooo wish I could. The actual blood tests dont bother me---the waiting for the results does!!!! I just feel soooo stressed for that period and honestly cant think rationally.
How are you these days?
xx
