DOes anyone else suffer with this?

At the minute I ave to have my blood tested weekly due to my addiction to laxatives......now in the past I have given blood, and blood tests have never bothered me....but since i became ill back in February I have found that the sound of the blood going into the little container, used for sending to be tested, makes me feel nauseaus and I have passed out twice due to this......

Is this linked to the anxiety of being in the Drs surgery do you think?

It does sound like anxiety:blush:
AS you have these tests regularly and probably know the nurse who takes your blood - They know your anxiety -soooo I would take a "music" player and listen to music while they take your blood. I am sure they would rather you did this than have you suffer the trauma of passing out.:hugs:

I talk constantly to the nurse taking the blood and never look at it and I too have regular blood tests.

You get used to it in time but keep talking and it will distract you.
