Can anyone help how Im feeling, I've ALWAYS been a worrier most of my childhood, teenagehood, and now Im 25 and still just as bad. A couple of years ago I was a complete hypochondriac - I worried about everything in my health, I wouldnt trust blood test results and always thought I had something seriously wrong, then I was given citropram and felt a lot better and weaned myself off them a yr ago. But the last few months, I have started worrying again, it started with about my health, then dying, or loosing my nan who I love, then it went to schizophrenia and lately this is what Ive been left with. Im so worried that I have it, Ive been back on my citropram for about 3 weeks and its not making me feel any different yet. But its almost as if I cant switch my mind off and Im hearing constant thoughts and someone almost saying my name, then I burn up and feel so scared. Does anyone have any of these symptoms about the mind! and if so how did you get rid of them?

hi joney,

you are most definately NOT going mad - for a start if you were you wouldn't be aware of it!
if you have frightening thoughts and try not to think about them it will only make them worse.. let the thoughts come, thats all they are, thoughts, they cannot hurt you..
it is so common when you are extremely anxious to have this.. I had horrible thoughts too and after a while they get less and less but dont rush it.. just know that they cannot harm you in any way and soon they will get bored.
chin up,

Lisa
