Hi all
Whilst I will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, thank the existence of this website, I wondered if anyone knew of any support groups for people with anxiety etc?
I am at that point where sharing my thoughts with someone in person who is or has experienced the same as me would be good. I am not necessarily looking for CBT, just sharing with like minded people.
If anyone does know of anything that is suitable, then some suggestions would be welcomed.

Ring the charity "No Panic" and they have a list of support groups in your area.
That may help.
Their website is www.nopanic.org.uk (http://www.nopanic.org.uk)

OK thanking you..
Will give it a go, Nicola.
It depends on where you live. I'm trying to start one in the South West/Bristol area.
'Mind' run support group in their counselling centres.

this is the best support group you can possibly have.
I live int he middle east and culture here does not allow support groups.
I even tried organise one with my doc, and got the ladies, but the doc was not allowed to satrt it by the hospital management.
I know,,... but this site is the best tool you can think of

Yes, I myself would prefer at the stage I'm at to attend a Support Group to meet face to face and share, talk about what is happening there and then.
