Ibuprofen + Paracetamol

Doctor has told me to take the following

Ibuprofen 400mg 3 times a day

Paracetamol 500mg 2 tablets 3 times a day.

This is to treat a trapped nerve. Im in alot of pain


Do you think this is safe? Anyone else taken this amount?

I usually dont take anything even for headaches so im worried about side effects/overdose

Any words would be appreciated

Yeh thats safe - The maximum daily dose of ibuprofen is 600mg three times a day and paracetamol 2x 500mg four times a day. Ive taken that amount of ibuprofen myself, the advice i'd give is to eat something along with the ibuprofen as sometimes (not in everybody though) it can make your stomach a bit acidy or give you a stomach upset and just eating something even if it is small will help prevent that. x

its perfectly safe. Ibuprofen and paracetomol contain different stuff. I would take parecetomol and then ibuprofen 2 hours later and continue this way. Have something to eat before ibuprofen as it can upset stomach if its empty and dont take anything like lemsip as it contains paracetomol
