Made some progress with the swallowing thing. I really concentrated last time it came up, and noticed that the muscles around my neck were rocks!!! I focused on neck muscles, and tried to consciously relax as I worked thru swallowing panic.
Funny thing helped...taking up my cel phone, and deleting old messages...had to totally concentrate on entering data in cel phone screen, so my swallowing started to ease. Funny what works, isn't it.

Glad you found something that worked for you. Any kind of activity is helpful because it takes the focus off the symptom and provides useful distraction.
