Honey,
Absolutely...............! I got myself so worked up and into a horrible state this past spring that I shot my blood pressure up to 200/105...had to take double my amount of medication. So, be careful...don't let this anxiety over power you.

I think 140/90 is classed as high nowadays if it is that reading all the time.

Much of what the doctors class as high or ok , is influenced by your individual risk factors.
My B/P is 94/62 ish most days and that is also 'normal' so the variants are wider than first thought.
These are the official NICE guidelines

My blood pressure reading 2 days ago was 134/95 is this high doc seemed to think it was but i thought this was a normal reading.
Andrew as far as I know the 134 is ok but the 95 is slightly high, well it would be if it was like that all the time. But as Meg said above it depends on other risk factors too. The lower figure should not be consistently above 90 I was told. But seeing as you were having chest pain, breathing troubles and were probably anxious, then that's quite a normal reading. I had 153/108 once when anxious but when I'm relaxed my bp is quite normal. Mine is often high at the doctors though so I wouldn't worry.
Hi
Your blood pressure can vary each time you go.......three months ago mine was 116/62 (which i thought was low but told it was normal). Last week it was 124/76 and again was told it was normal.
My mum suffers with white coat syndrome and each time she goes to get hers check its really high, so yes anxiety can affect it.
Take care
Tracy
