Hi everyone

Im new to this site, but have posted an essay on the health anxiety board, as that is my fear.

I came across this site by sheer accident, really by looking into my symptoms on the internet. Hubby has now banned all health sites - thankfully.

Have been told by my gp today, that i really do need to sort out my anxieties or its a psychiatrist referral for me. It's all a bolt out of the blue really for me. I thought i was alone, i really really thought i was the only person to think the way i do. I don't wish any of this on you guys, but it's a great relief to know there are lots of us out there and i don't feel so alone.

Jue.

hi jue and welcome to the site, Not a very understanding doctor you have? (that i really do need to sort out my anxieties or its a psychiatrist referral for me.) He is supposed to help not threaten you? and if he does send you to see a sychiatrist all the better. he shouldnt tell you that is a threat. You should have asked him if there are any self healp groups or any therapy you could have near you, Anyway I am sure you will get lots of help from here and find so many have health phobias and anxietys here its very common. Hope you feel better soon. take care Vernon

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

Hi Jue and welcome :)
I know that you will find alot of support and a great new source of info as doing a web search on symptoms only makes things worse(believe me I know first hand). But the great people here will never steer you wrong!!!
It is a very comforting feeling to know that you are not alone. We're all here to support each other so if you ever need anything just give a holler :)
