what is a fever? is this panic

I feel a bit hot on my forehead but it doesnt feel hot to touch,is this a fever or panic?i know it sounds silly but i have a mouth infection and have been on antibiotics for 4 days and im worried ill be ill.

hi sam have you taken your temp??? 36.5 is normal anything about 37 is a raised temp but 38 and over is classed as a high temp.An infection can raise your temp,just take paracetamol with your antibiotics and you should be fine:D :D :D

I cant take my temp havent got a themometer.I worry people will think im a loon posting things but i really do worry x

I became obsessed checking my temp - my forehead is always burning up but my temp is normal when i check via mouth, ear. I've stopped checking it now and just put it down to panic. Now I don't check it I stopped thinking about it. From what I can find:

the normal range for body temperature is 97 to 100 degrees fahrenheit or 36.1 to 37.8 degrees celsius, anything above is a fever with a High fever being over 103fahrenheit - about 39.5celsius
