For a week now I have been getting trailing vision. Whenever I move my head or my hand it creates like a sparkler effect or a strobe light effect. I never saw anyone suffering from this in the forum so naturally I assumed it was a brain tumor.

I went to see the doctors he checked my eyes with a light and made me follow his finger and said he couldn't find anything. He said if im worried i should see an opticiation. I'm worried that he it is possible that he couldnt find that I have a brain tumor through my eyes and that It's gone mis-diagnosed.

My eyes have been really sore and they hurt just lately. This is really begining to freak me out because I feel alone and I've never seen anyone on here have this problem.

Hello, do as your doctor suggests and go to an optician. Tell them what you are concerned about so they will know what to look for. If they are concerned about anything they will refer you to a consultant eye specialist.

Try not to panic, brain tumours are really rare, eye problems aren't. Most of them by far are caused by something else.

Maybe its eyestrain. You may need glasses/stronger glasses. My dad has something like this. He calls them silent migranes. He has no pain but he gets loads of flashing and sparkling and sometimes blindspots. He has nothing wrong with him.

Hello love

I was bothered for a long time with funny turns when my eyes were not focusing properly and I had wavy lines in my vision and on a couple of occassions I had a blind spot which got bigger and bigger so that I could not see.

I was terrified and all this sparked a terrible bout of anxiety and depression I thought it was a stroke or a brain tumor and I started getting all other anx symptoms.

I had been to opticians were everything was fine then referred to eye specialist by by GP she smiled straight away and said oh its migraine this confused me even more as I do not suffer from headaches of any type whatso ever.

Apparently you can get something called optical migraines I haven't had one for months I thought they could be hormonal as one of the drs at the gps said her friends son had them when he was a teenager.

Try not to worry hun I went on an optical migraine web site and the slide they showed was exactly what happens to my vision but don't go googling anything else you will scare yourself silly.

Hope this helps
