Hi people i have been suffering from PAs and Anxiety now for around 3years. It all started after a bad viral infection in which i was also diagnosed with CFS/ME. I tried various medications from Dr Jan De Vries to Dietitions but nothing worked for me :( I have now heard of a revolutionary new form of therapy which works on giving you back control of your body and emotions as when you have PA you feel like you`re dreaming all the time and that nothing is real. http://www.mickeltherapy.com/ this deals mostly with anxiety and panic which causes tiredness as CFS is said to be caused by your Hypathalmis gland which stops functioning properly due to you not taking control of situations and general life. I wonder if anyone has ever tried anything like this and how they got on?

I`m paying quite a lot for this Therapy £80per session with 2 a month which if it cures me i`d pay £10,000 no problem but i`m wondering if this is about right :(

Thanks take care

Hi there, welcome to the site.

I have CBT and it costs me £94 per session (an hour) including vat. In my area it varies from £70 - £130 a session, although some sessions are an hour and some an hour and a half. I didn't see the £70 sessions until after I'd started with my therapist and the cheaper lady was too far to travel too anyway. I had CBT two years ago and it was a great help. I have had three sessions this time and it does get expensive.

I also have CFS/ME. My CBT therapist also specialises in CFS. I've not heard of the therapy you mention but will check out your link.

Are you having mickeltherapy or CBT currently? If you're having mickeltherapy I'd be very interested to hear about it.

Hope you find this site helpful,

LJ

Yes i have started the therapy and go again tomorrow. Out of 250 people who have taken this new therapy more than 90% have recovered and the rest didn`t finnish the therapy apparantly so that sounds relieving :)
The therapist who takes me had CFS for 4 years and has fully recovered due to the CBT and reckons i will recover very soon as i`m a lot better than some other cases he reckons i`m practically there just need that extra push. The PAs seem to restrict me though from a alot of things so i need to address these probs

That's good RossCo,
I'm still not sure if it's the mickeltherapy or the CBT you are having? It sounds from your post that you're having mickel but you mention CBT too and as far as I can tell they are two different things?
Sorry if this doesn't make sense.
If you are having mickeltherapy I'd love to hear more about it and what is involved.
I am having CBT to help my anxiety/panic but she also deals with CFS.
Good luck with it,
LJ
