Citalopram and irregular bleeding- anyone?

Hi. I was wondering if any other forum members have experience of 'abnormal bleeding' whilst taking Citalopram. It is quoted on the list of side effects but I haven't come across it in any forum discussions.

I have been taking C for 3 months and increased from 20mg to 40mg about 6 weeks ago. Last week I had a nose bleed out of the blue (which is not something I suffer from usually). The doctor sent me for blood tests but nothing untoward was found.

A couple of days ago I had bleeding with my stools more than I have ever had before. I have doc appointment booked. Prob just haemorrhoids - I try to reassure myself. (Although my head is building it into something else typically!)

Has anyone else had experience of this whilst taking Citalopram?

I remember when l had a tooth extracted when l was taking Cit and it bled for 2 days. Went back to dentist and he said it can happen when you take these drugs...

These drugs apparently "thin" your blood so you can get abnormal bleeding.
