Hi everyone, I an new here and have just intro'd myslef on the other forum!. I have been on SSRI's before and for the most part they were great, but effect seemed to wear off after a year or so. I have now been off SSRI's for over a year having tried different drug therapies and GP agrees with me that we should now try them again, and this time try Prozac. I would be grateful for any advice anyone has about it such as side effects, how long they last for, sleep problems, when to take it etc etc! All posts gratefully received!

Hi

It works differently from person to person, but for me it helped tremendously when I had depression, it didn't help on the anxiety side.... and side effects wise , Prozac was the most gentle ( out of all SSRIs I 've tried in the past ).
And by the way , welcome ! :)
Good luck.
Florence.

Clare

Glad they helped. We like to show previous posts as it gives a wide range of experiences and advice.

By the way - I was on Prozac about 8 years ago and I don't remember having any horrendous side-effects atall. It really helped with the depression side of things for me.
