I've been on citaprolam for two months now and i can't get to sleep for hours. My mum says i should go to bed earlier as it will help my 'body clock'. I am currently going to bed at about 1 or 2 or 3 in the morning and i eventually drift off to sleep at about 4 or 5 or even sometimes 6 in the morning and i wake up at about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I don't think that going to bed earlier would make any better as i am too anxious too sleep. I worry that i'll stop breathing in my sleep! Is there anything that i could take to help me sleep better?

passiflora , valarium root for starters.

*I worry that i'll stop breathing in my sleep!* Your body is far too complex and clever to allow this to happen with several failsafe 2nd and 3rd ways of ensuring this doesn't happen to young healthy people

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

hi there :)
Meg is absolutely right about the Valerian !!! It has worked wonders for me !!!! I have just learned that it comes in a tea now and I am looking forward to taking it that way instead of pill form(I hate pills - lol). If you want more info on valerian you can click on this link it has some info about it http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Valerian.asp

Thats the problem... i'm definately not healthy[:I]
I'm very skinny and pale (which doesn't help at all)
I eat lots of junk food and i still don't put on weight!
I'm about 10 stone and i'm over 6ft. I look anorexic:(

I could try getting some valerian tea.:D

Sometimes we don't sleep cos we are not doing enough in the day. I know it sounds mad but you can get tired from sitting around all day and then you can't sleep.

You do need to get a routine of going to bed at a reasonable time and getting up earlier regardless of how tired you are.

You need to retrain your body to sleep during "normal" hours and not late morning till late pm.
