Hi tasia,

Panic can effect the ability to think analytically. You can go into a state of confusion and it becomes virtually impossible to work out the most simple of things. It can also effect your memory. I suffer from this often. Once I was at a train station and went into panic, I could not work out how to read the timetable even though I had done it plenty of times before. It just made no sense to me so I got on the first train that pulled in. It was the wrong train.

Hope that helps

John
