Are Palpitations harmfull?

I been getting attacks of them and was just wondering if they are harmfull?

Fast and regular. Ive yet to find a way of coping with them.

I had a bad one walking to the station last week and went to hospital. Docs not said much apart from control breathing.

Im now avoiding walking to work incase i have one :(

All the things i have read say no, my Doc says no but you must make sure that they are just palputations

I heard that taking magnessium & vitamin e supplements can stop them. Is this true?
