Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful techniques that calm down the panic and anxiety. I use a few but i was just wondering what everyone else does.

Hiya Christie,

There are alot of suggestions, advice, and techniques listed on the "COPING" page of this forum. Just go to the search engine, type in "COPING" and that should take you to that page. Take a look around I am certain you will find something that interests you. As for myself, I tend to lean toward distraction techniques. Like finding something different to do to take my mind off of what I am feeling e.g.thinking of an animal for every letter of the alphabet, counting backwards from 100 etc. etc. etc. The animal with the alphabet is something I picked up on here. It does work. Hope this info. is helpful. Post to let us know if you find something you like.

The best thing I did was learning to relax and breathe properly. It can dampen down the worst symptoms.
