I didn't know where to post this.

I have decided to seek professional advice and support and would like to know whether I look for a Psycotherapist or a Psyciatrist?

I suffer from a number of problems, so i don't know who should help me.

I've found online a few people/organisations in the area of where I live.

Advice needed asap please.

Julie

You need to speck to some one that you feel comfortable with. Some one who deal with your set of problem's the best.

Some people can just talk to a counilor and that will be fine other's need to CBT therpy I going to see a phycologist cause i a a fear of pcyciatrist's, from what i've been told phyciatrist tend to deal with more of the really insane people have phycologist dont deal with the insane instead thay deal with the anxiety and depression and illnesses like our's. That not to say a phyciatrist cant help you but you need decide what sort person you need to talk to based on what sort of treatment you think you need.

Hi Julie

What are your main worries/concerns - there are so many different kinds of therapy out there that could deal with different aspects.

I have has psychotherapy, psychology and have now just started CBT.

Are you able to discuss with your GP??
