Doc perscribed me propranolol

Been getting constant headaches for about 5 weeks now. Normally not a headachy person so too have them this long is worrying me. My doc has perscribed propranolol quite a high dose 2 have at bedtime i know these r betablockers but what exactly do they treat?

Beta blockers are most commonly used to lower blood pressure and reduce heart rate, so useful for anxious people as it takes away the edge of the adrenaline rush which is what causes the panicky feeling.

However they have been shown to be incredibly successful in reducing headache pain and migraines. Hopefully they will be a great help.
