Hi I recently came back from the docs after feeling tired and have a swollen lymph gland under my arm and some discomfort in my stomach and neck on the same side as the lump.I had some blood tests (awaiting results)I,ve had the lump about a year and its about the size of a cocktail sausage and does sometimes shrink a little. But as usual I terrified that its somthing really bad like cancer.Does anyone know what the blood test is to check or any words of wisdom. The tiredness comes and goes and sometimes feels like a cold but I still manage to go to the gym. Many thanks in advance.Ps the Doc says hes going to refer me to a specialist to have a look at.Is this just procedure or is it because he thinks its bad?.Thanks again.

Probably just to check what it actually is. My son had a blood test when he had lumps. They test a few things from the one sample, but I cant remember what they said on the packet. But it was mainly to see if a virul infection was causing the lumps. The results came back negative, so they didn't recommend doing anything, they are still there. Apparently they aren't actually lumps, but enlarged glands. So its not like they can remove them. His are about the size of a pea.
My dogs vet today said it might be worth putting a needle in a couple of large lumps she has, they've been there over a year & I got them checked out last year, but we were using the wait n see thing. I took her today for a seperate issue, & the vet said testing the lumps might be worthwhile, but I dont think they're all that concerned.
Some people are just lumpy bumpys! My ex had a biggen just above his chest, about the size of a marble, has had it years, but never got it looked at. But he had one removed from his back years before, & the biopsy didn't show anything bad.
