allergies and feeling of choking on drainage when swallowins

i have been having this increased sense of feeling my sinus drainage from allergies. i take benedryl sometimes but yesterday it gave me bad cottonmouth. ugh which sent me into panic. so now this is just no. 1 in my head and it is making me mad now. anyone else do this? i think it has a name. like a lump in your throat all the time. maybe not my allergies but i think it contributes.

You can help with the allergy drainage by using a neti pot or sinus rinse each day when it is bad.

also, drink lots of water because that helps push the drainage down and prevents your throat from getting sore and your mouth from getting dry.
The lump in your throat feeling is stress. There are lots of posts about that here. Mine was so bad I could only swallow yogurt. If you relax it will go away. Good luck.
