I was wondering if I am the only one that wishes people would update their situation after posting a thread? Most of the time ive noticed people post a thread, get lots of replies, then we dont hear from them again. Quite often I read a thread & end up wondering how the person got on, after they had an appointment about their symptom, or just maybe got over it? At times ive read it because ive had a similar symptom,& would of liked to know the out come?

Yes it is frustrating.

I also find the same thing happens when you give advice and never hear back from the person again. Did it help or not - would be nice to know wouldn't it?

I feel the same way, when I dont see an update I wonder and almost panic, what if something bad happened? Could that be me? etc...ugh I can't stand this anxiety anymore. :/

Exactly! I start thinking, why didn't they update, is it because it was something bad, & they didn't want to worry people. Probably a load of rubbish that lol Its not like people are going to be worried about upsetting other people when they are frantic about their health. But things do cross your mind dont they

Yes! You cant make people post an update I guess. Its the internet afterall. But it would be nice to know people are ok. Soppy as it may be, but sometimes your heart goes out to people that are sufferring big time, so you try to reassure them in the best way you can if you have been in the same way, & never know if it helped as you said :)

I think the problem is people do one post to say they have this and that and going for tests and another to post the results.

See these:

It would be better to reply to the original thread and keep it all together

Yes I agree. See what you mean from those links! Trouble with me is I am rubbish with names & if people post an update in a seperate thread, I rarely associate it with a seperate one before, so dont really know what their original one was
