Hi all 2nd post of the day :( , i have been spotting for 3 days only when i wipe TMI and its like a streak or a few tiny spots of red blood i dont think im ovulating as normally i know when i am.

Its been 11 days since the first day of a stupidly heavy 7 day late period. Do you think its anything to worry about? i googled (big mistake) and it said it could be cervical cancer / female organ cancer

I had a smear test done about 3 months ago that was ok but you can imagine what im thinking x

thats complete rubbish, i would put money on it being hormonal, if it were cervical cancer or anything like that it is usually symptom free. If you were having a full on period for weeks and weeks then maybe a concern to worry about, i sometimes spot in between periods even when on the pill, its just something that happens and all down to hormones especially if you have just had a baby it takes about 12 months for your body to settle.

you couldnt be pregnant could you?? I only ask because there is such a thing as implantation bleeding, which is when the egg has been fertilized and firmly implants itselfjust a thought - if that is not possible, dont worry as spotting can just happen now and then

heya we are ttc but i dont think i have ovulated yet. Im not using any hormone contraception so its not that messing things up. Im sooooooo sick of worrying about everything, im now thinking that my smear test was wrong. :( x

Hi Tash

You think your smear test was wrong becuase you have HA. The blood could be from a small cut even? How do you know when you are ovulating?

Apparently we can ovulate at different times each month and often the signs that we usually have can change when you are under stress and suffer from anxiety.

How long is it since you had your baby? Are you feeling back to normal physically yet? Just wondered becuase my baby is one in a weeks time and I still feel physically very drained.

Hello :)

Most of these things are hormonal, i was spotting mid cycle for 3 months, i was so scared i thought i was pregnant or had cancer or something, my friend told me this happened to her before and lasted a few months.

I went to the nurse and she did a urine sample which came back normal and she simply said, sometimes things like this happen and its usually due to hormones, she asked me if i had been any under stress which i had, and she said if it continues to come back but its very common and should only last a while.

Which it did, after 3 months it stopped, my mum even said she has had this in the past, i would make an appointment with your nurse for reassurance but it probably nothing xxx

thanks all,

Lisa, its been 9 months since i had my son, i ALWAYS feel drained lol my sides are still tender to touch as i had such a huge bump. My smear test was done privately & i paid a lot of money and it was good, i had the smear and a camara up ( sorry lol) and he looked at my ovaries on the screen. Surely he would have found something ? xx

Tash

Without a doubt they really would have found any problems, really . Its just your HA bugging you again with this.

Yes I get aches all over too. I hate the fact that my whole body appears to be wrecked lol!

Looks like being drained is the norm for us then....... i just spoke to some girls at work who say exactly the same.

Hope you get your next baby soon though. Did You just wnat them close together in age? I want another but soooooo not ready yet lol!! You brave!!

Hope you stop worrying about this soon because you dont deserve to be bullied by your HA at a time like this when your so busy being mummy.:hugs:

I had mid cycle bleeding, it can be very normal to spot with ovulation etc, could even be a physiological cyst(ones we get every month). Not likely anything to do with your cervix at all. You had a great test done and it was normal so I wouldnt worry. Honestly it is more common than you think.

Hi.. maybe send a urine sample in as well just in case its coming from your bladder and not the other.... could be a little bladder infection which could be treated easily.

A family member of mine had this. But it turned out to be connected to the Mirinna (cant spell it) coil. She had it in for 5 years no problem, no periods at all, then suddenly started spotting. They had to take it out. Now she has horrendous periods, & is off to see a specialist, who knows where it will end.
Can be lots of things causing it. If you've had a good pap test recently, it will be hormone related. It sucks to be female!

As you had such a thorough test recently I would say you can definately rule out anything sinister. I had spotting mid cycle for about 4 months which my doctor said was anxiety related - sure enough as soon as my panics calmed down the spotting stopped. I was wondering as well if you could be pregnant as as another poster said it could be connected to that? Alternatively and I know this is going to sound odd but I had another period of spotting a few years ago - it turned out that I had piles that were bleeding slightly and when I wiped - either front or back - I was catching them and they were bleeding slightly. Scared the hell out of me till I found out what was causing it! I am positive you have nothing to worry about but why not just make an appointment with your doc and let him put your mind at rest!

I had problems with my periods after having a baby. Spotting then stopped completely. The citalopram raised my prolactin so I had to stop it and I also had hypothyroidism.

There can be loads of reasons and my gp said anxiety can also play havoc with your cycle.

Go and see your Gp if your really worried to put your mind at ease.

Hi

I have had mid-cycle spotting on and off since having my third child 2 years ago. It can start anywhere from 10 - 14 days after the beginning of my last period. For some reason, having him just completely upset my cycle and it has never really been the same since!!

I have had a clear smear and a pelvic ultrasound too which showed nothing untoward. The doctors have put it down to a hormone inbalance. My treatment can involve a merina coil or the mini pill but to be honest, I think I will just deal with it naturally. These two methods of contraception can also cause inbalances so it doesn't seem worth it to me.

Have a chat to your GP to put your mind at rest.
