TMJ / Jaw clenching sufferers...

Hi fine people

Not sure where exactly to post this...

I received my mouth guard two days ago to help me stop clenching and grinding, and I am supposed to wear it all the time. But I am finding it extremely painful and I want to take it out!!! My jaw and teeth hurt really badly, I am struggling to eat too. I feel like my teeth are going to fall out and like someone has punched me in the jaw.

Has anyone else had any experience with mouth guards? Is this normal?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi there. I dont know much about this at all but why dont you give your dentist a ring as I am sure he/she wouldnt want you to be suffering like this. They will advise you what to do. Hope you get sorted.
