hi all, firstly i am beyond tired i feel weak & exhausted but thats another story :)

I cant accept i dont have anything wrong with me i have 3 major symptoms that terrify me & as they come an go ( classic MS) im even more scared.

My burning tongne which i have had since my son was aout 3 months old so 6 months everyday apart from 3 weeks ago when i didnt have it for about 3 weeks. I havent googled but i dont believe anxiety can cause this. All ay everyday it burns on the left side its unbelivably annoying,

I also get this weird chest spasm thing that again have had for months only ever in my right boob and it feels exactly like somone has flicked for elastic across my chest and to the inside of my arm. It feels exactly like i have been flicked hard & suddenly & is the weird scariest thing as its so strong and it must be muscle as it radiates to the inside of my arm. No one knows what it is and no one else seems to get it :(

Chest crackle first thing in the morning, which i can feel with my hands again i imagine it must be muscle :(

i know that there is something wrong with me and i jus pray its not ms thing is i had a break from all these symptoms 3 weeks ago and for the past week they have been awful again :(

Hey
Tash hun

There is something wrong with you , its anxiety!!

Your okay sweetie, all of these things have a common cause and probably other people have the arms thing too but just describe it differently, i promise you.

I get a thing in my arms that is like a grating feeling the comes from my chest and goes down an arm. To me it feels like my vein is twisted!! Its probably excatly the same thing that we interpret according to out health phobia choice! I dont worry about MS so i dont worry about muscles but to me its my sodium levels mucking up because of HIV!!

Tell the anxiety to shut it!!

Hope your okay,

Lisa

I haven't got those symptoms, although I have had a chest pain behind the breast frequently lately, but I just wanted to say I know what you mean by the being convinced something bad is wrong. Ive had that many times before. I just cant imagine it NOT being something bad. But eventually I did come out of the bad place I was in for months with a certain symptom. Almost feeling on another planet. And never finding out what it was all about or getting any diagnosis xx

Hi

I just thougt I'd reply as I notice you have a small baby. I have had terrible pains in my chest and arms since my 2nd baby was born 9 months ago. He is quite heavy, and it took me a long time to realise most of the time, the pains I get are due to the hard work of looking after 2 children :).

I know this might not be the answer to everything as I get all the symptoms of anxiety too, but I try now to recognise when it's that and when it's just my body saying it is very tired. I don't know if this helps.

take care
Niky x

I'm sorry to hear of your problems, i am in the same boat almost, my right hand feels weird like it's lame or stiff and i still get twitches all over, i now have a burning / tingling in my shoulder blade, and i too am still worried about having MS.

The only thing keeping me going is that i have been told by several doctors and people on the internet that the usual signs of MS are being so dizzy you can't walk or a limb going completely dead.

I do feel that anxiety tries to mimic our fears tho and we do tend to dwell on these symptoms and make them worse.

Have you seen the doc about all this and explained your fear of MS?

I do honestly feel for you tho as i have a massive fear of MS, all the best - Gaz

Neuropathy is anything related to nerves. You have sensitive nerves it looks like. My aunt had neuropathy....trigeminal, she would have her nerve sensitivity in her legs and head. Have you had an MRI to rule out MS? Have you talked to your doctor about your MS worries?

As far as the chest spasm...any time I get anxious...its twitchy in that area for me too.

Stop googling, you'll make yourself worse!!

If you have seen a neuro, what did he say about your fear of MS? Have you had an MRI?

Hi Tash
I know how you feel because as you know from my many many postings i feel the same way, The spasms you are experiencing are they sort of like the muscle twitches but a bit stronger? also the chest cracking thing if it only happens when you wake surely it has something to do with the way you are sleeping or lying? Dont forget aswell as having anxiety problems your baby is still very young so your hormones are going to be all over the place, after i had my last son i had an obsession beyond obsession of blood pressure issues. Also burning tongue can be caused by anxiety my dad suffers from anxiety and he has described this said it felt like he has eaten something to hot. I hope you are feeling better soon xx

no i havent had an MRI my doctor has just said its all anxiety. I wouldnt go for an MRI anyway too scared of the results. Ignorance is bliss in some cases. I see him in 2 months so i guess i can speak to him again then. fed up.

I feel the same way in some respects tash, I want an MRI to help rule out MS but don't want to have it incase it shows i do have MS.

I am going to my doctor again next week and i'm going to ask him for help with my massive fear of MS and i would suggest you need to do the same.

You sound like your under alot of strain atm and it seems to me like you need a good break / rest.

I hope things get better for you - Gaz

This is so true i feel the same my mom was going to pay for me to have an mri because my doc refused but i couldnt go through with it, I would love to go and get a clean one but if they found something i think it would finish me off. I think sometimes we are as anxious and living like someone that has been told they have got it or maybe someone that has been diagnosed would handle it a whole lot better than us HA sufferers.

I was scared to death to get an MRI, and was horrible up until after the test was done. My doctor knew I was worrying and called me 2 days later to say everything was fine. I was paranoid they would find something....but it was so so worth getting done, as I knew I had nothing neurological going on. I felt months of anxiety and pain and worry melt away...it was the best weekend I had in a long time (he called me on a Friday).

I hope you can work something out with your doctor, don't ever feel like you are a burden if you keep going to the doctor. Is there any way you can go to another doctor, since it seems like your doctor isn't very helpful?

I really hope you are feeling better soon.

Tash,

I have had burning mouth syndrome for well over a year now and it is only just subsiding, you can get your dentist to have it checked out to put your mind at ease.

best wishes

So on behalf of my wife and I , I would like to thank you all for
sharing this very special day with the both of us.

Unfortunately, it’s not been possible to have everyone we love here with us today,
but we know they’re here with us in spirit & they’re not only in our thoughts
today, but more importantly they’re with us in our hearts.
So, with them in mind, would you please all stand, raise your glasses, & join me
in a toast to absent family & friends.

Tash,

Your dentist can send you to a specialist to have blood tests done, check out this link about BMS, i'm sure it will help.
