Hi first sorry if this is in the wrong area of the forum.

Im just wondering who out there can see the difference between the inside of the mask and the outside.Wondering if anxiety can effect visual perception.

Oh yes.
The main thing that I worry about when experiencing anxiety is how my perception of everything is going to change.
For me, everything is distorted and vivid.
I also suffer from 'Derealization' so that tends to make things even more unpleasant.
I'm also pretty paranoid so I jump at everything that comes into my peripheral vision.

Hi Rom

Visual disturbances are definitely common with panic anxiety. This test is being considered as a diagnostic tool for Schizophrenia affecting perhaps 1% of the population, so it is unlikely that we will detect the hollowed out version of the mask.
My visual disturbances with panic anxiety include;

Blurred vision when panicing
Darting movement in peripheral vision appears at random.
Trouble focusing when first go outside during the day.
Kaleidoscope patterns(Grey) if wake in the dark.

My eyes have been checked recently and all is well. All this is down to anxiety. I just accept it now.:)
