Hi Dan,

I had this for weeks last year and on and off a bit this year too - the only thing I have found is to totally ignore it and eventually it does pass.

I did think it may have been my ears at one time but as it did pass I don't think it was (worth checking out though if it doesn't).

I have an Auntie who does have a genuine ear condition and she lives with this permanently which made me think well she still goes out so I must at least try and cope with it if she does. Lo and behold with this attitude it did indeed pass!!!!!!

Love Piglet :)

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Hi dan
This is exactly like me i manage to cope with the other anxiety symptoms but the dizziness upsets me and gets me down. TRy to get up slowly and try not to over breathe. I have found that if i have a dizzy spell then i automatically wait for the next one to come. This of course gives it my full attention and guess what im dizzy again. I try to ignore it when it happens. I also think about the many times i have felt dizzy in the past 8 years and it is alot (every day i get it) and nothing bad has ever happened so I am learning to accept it rather than worry too much about it. Watch your thoughts as well. Tell yourself I am well, calm, safe and healthly and try not to focus on the feelings of dizziness.

Dan

I had it for years too. Exercise and correct breathing helped with mine. I think it is cos we don't breathe properly that we feel dizzy.

Hi Dan
I too suffer ALOT with dizziness. It makes me SO panicky that I worry in the morning when I get up just in case I'm gonna be dizzy. It IS the anxiety because I suffered 8 years ago for about 3 months, then after quitting the job I hated it went, now I'm in another hated job and it has come back. I'm trying to get into the police and I think because I want it SO badly I'm stressing about it, so now I have the dizziness. I'm trying so hard to forget about it, but it is difficult. We must all stick together!!

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

I just want to say Piglet that I just "LOVE YOUR QUOTE!!" It is optimism vs pessimism put so simply!
I am going to remember that one for sure.

i have been suffering from dizziness on and off for years. if is a vicious circle, anxiety causes dizziness which then causes the anxiety. i used to wake up thinking am i going to be dizzy today and i would be etc. i tried a technique called EFT emotional freedom technique. google it and have a read about it, its very good and focuses on the anxiety which makes you dizzy aswell as your dizziness, its a bizzare technique and you will probably be sceptical about it as i was but it has helped me.
good luck, rascal:yahoo:
