Borderline thyroid disfunction

AM I PUTTING ON WEIGHT?
AM I ADDING INCHES TO MY TUMMY?
I FEEL FAT, MY THIGHTS FEEL CHUNKY
AND MY ARMS ARE GETTING BIGGER IM
SURE THEY ARE!

MY THYROID IS BORDERLINE,
MY MUM HAS AN UNDERACTIVE THYROID.
IM SO SCARED I DONT WANT TO GET BIG,
IF ITS BORDERLINE DOES THIS MEAN IM
GOING TO GO UP LIKE A BLOODY BALLOON?
I LOVE MY FIGURE I DONT WANNA LOOSE IT
WHY SHOULD I, I HAVE A GOOD DIET, EAT AND
SLEEP WELL NOWA DAYS, GOOD EXERCISE BUT
I CANT HELP BUT SEE MY GETTING BIGGER!

has doctor given you thyroxine tablets ,i have under active one but with meds dont put weight on

I was diagnosed with borderline underactive thyroid a couple of years ago...but amazingly it settled after a few months and my thyroid is back to normal again...even if yours doesnt settle its not such a bad thing as it can be controlled with taking just one of the thyroxine tabs as Gypsy has just said, a couple of my friends have this and take just one a day and everything goes back to normal..I suggest you go back to your doctor and see what he or she says..goodluck.

I take thyroxine for underactive thyroid and I used to blame my condition on my weight but I am bigger now than I have ever been and the meds are controlling it! Underactive thyroid can make you put on weight but according to experts never more than about 10lbs usually no more than a few pounds gained!
