Hi,
As this is (at time of posting) my 100th post, I thought I’d start by thanking everyone for being so kind & helpful since I joined the forum in September :)
Its great to know that there is somewhere I can chat about stuff, knowing that people really do understand the symptoms & difficulties associated anxiety e.c.t.
Whilst only joining NMP a short while ago, I’ve already found it helpful. Also I’ve been able to share some of my experiences to others in similar situations.
Thanks to all.:)
Below is another poem I wrote a few weeks ago. I wanted to portray a very real experience whilst starting all the words of each verse with a specific letter. Rather hard to do, but I liked the outcome.
It describes the onset of a severe panic attack which really hit me for six. However hard I tried the negativity stayed with me. Luckily I am a lot brighter now, as I have been able to resolve certain things & can now see the ‘wood from the trees.’

Panic’s Powerful Portrayal
Turmoil’s treasonous thoughts
Thrash through to their terrified target
Increasing in irrational interpretation
Invading inside irresponsibly
Journeying juggernaut, jettisons joy
Jeopardising justifiable judgment
Cyclone carelessly compounding competence
Casting cowardly compulsions closer
Pounding pessimism punches painfully
Paralysing positive precious perceptions
Faced finally, fearing fate
Foreboding forces face for fight
Wincing weakly whilst weapons wreck
Weary warriors wane woefully
Stampeded so suddenly, spirit smashed
Scuppered sovereignty, seals surrender
