worries about medication?

hi there, its been ages since ive posted here! been generally ok over the last few months before being hit by 2 huge anxiety attacks and now back on citalopram 20mg, got mates birthday night out on saturday can anyone tell me is it ok to have few drinks with meds or should i not bother taking tabs that day?

Lee - I think alcohol can negate (stop) the effect of medication if you have taken it that day. Alcohol is in itself a depressant. One or two lagers might be OK, but a skinful not so!

Hmmm I wouldn't be drinking and taking meds together.. Not sure that is a very good idea so ask your doctor to be sure.. or at least your chemist.. Michael
