I changed my doctor the other week and im so glad i did. Ive been unwell for the past few years with various things and my old doctor used to fob me off saying it was ' just my anxiety'. An example of this being that i have suffered chronic chest pain for 2 and a half years, i was constantly fobbed off. It was only when i asked to be refered to someone else that i found i suffer from costochondritis which can at times mimic a heart attack ! I started having daily headaches over 4 months ago and the doctor kept fobbing me off, thats when i decided to change my doctor. My new doctor reminds me of doctor martin off the tv lol. Hes very blunt with his words and very thorough and tells you exactly whats going on. Ive seen him a few times over the last few weeks as my health seem to be getting worse every day. Aswell as the headaches i now have pins and needles, numbness and my left ankle is badly swollen, my joints are sore and im struggling to walk. im walking like im 100 years old not 28 ! He said there is DEFINATLEY something going on and took some more blood, i had some taken on monday aswell. It will take 2 weeks to get the results as they dont get tested local, they have to be sent to preston where they do more thorough checks. Hes also refering me to a specialist.
I just want to tell people that if your not happy with your doctor then its definately worth changing. i wish i had done it years ago.

Aww i'm really happy for you sarah, lets hope now that your new doc can get you sorted and on the mend again, it is annoying when docs put everything down to our anxiety, good for you on changing your doc and being determined to get some real answers.

best wishes
